2014 - 16
A winter storm! We had 26 hardy musicians come out, including our friends from Armada, Royal Oak, and East Jordan.
Our "instant quartet" played "O Holy Night" and you can see them at 8:40 in the video.
Our second year at FSC, and a lot of new players! Ran out of badges... thank you, frequent flyers, who passed along extras earned at other Tuba Christmas events.
What a good time at Fountain Street Church! Forty-four participants, many new folks. Five pre-teens, a family of four who traveled from Armada (in Macomb county, 166 miles away), some great players from GVSU and WMU, a student/director group from Northview schools. And a MSU sousaphone who might be persuaded to resurrect the TC event in Lansing. An instant quintet, beautiful holiday decorations, wildly adorned horns, and fun camaraderie rounded out the afternoon. We played for a good-sized and enthusiastic audience in FSC's beautiful 1500-seat sanctuary.
